    Canary Islands have a lake battery. They produce power by solar and wind and excess is used to move water from a low lake to one up a mountain . When power generation dies off the water starts to flow down pipes through hydro generators powering the cities. Awesome. And the future in my mind as is a environmentally positive battery

    Well, this was made in a different country with an electrified Trabant car, and 3d printed to different scale intake fan from a commercial jet engine. Yes, you get some energy but it's not more than the amount put in.

    5:36 i just saw your more recent video where you had trouble controlling your pitch. i think part of that can be remedied by giving the lead screw a couple of guides. i think this design might alow the lead screw itself to pitch slightly. wich will put a high load and friction on the threads of the screw

    i've been wondering for a really long time. how a solar panel could improve milage. unlike turbine(s) it should'nt add much resistance. but obviously will have a harder time generating power. another thing i've really wanted to try is. making a steam powered turbine powered by the exhaust heat.

    Lol I carried a box fan between my legs on my bike once. Always thought about what if it was hooked up to a charge controller. Aero is already trash on a bike who knows it might add like 3% range I would think it wouldn't work on a car since its already tuned for aero but on a bike a big ass box fan don't rlly add too much drag compared to just someone sitting up

    I love your videos! Try using a more consistent load than the rear defroster. I think it's cutting out due to its temperature (safety regulation). A general load as a resistor could be a more reliable load, at least for testing. Also, to save some head aches on exploding impellers try adding a brake on the small pully axle. You could program the brake to like 3000 rpm. I think reinforcing the blades with carbon fiber will cause massive vibrations as it is hard to laminate symmetrically. Lastly, I feel like the mounting of the whole setup is flexing a lot. As there is only a single mounting point under the car. Maybe a steel cable over the bonnet could stabilize the whole rig.

    lol i glued 2x 100w flexible solar panels to my chevy volts roof for 70$ and just wired them directly into the 12v system. recently i upgraded the 12v agm battery to 280ah of lifepo4, ~4kwh, and added a cheap 28$ easun power mppt. this video makes me realize how much power and how reliable solid state solar power is. they usually put out around 150 watts when im driving around and then charge all day in the parking lot and have been saving me a half gallon of gas on my commute to work... about 2-3$ per day. the battery cost me 350$ and it was already time to replace the ~200$ agm battery (14 year old lol)

    Kind of wondering why you wouldn't have made this so it's on the back of the car so it's not putting so much force on the blades and the blades are pushing the car rather than pulling it along especially with a Toyota looks like Camry which I own a Toyota Camry 2010 model Le but I really do like that idea

  • @scottpageusmc

    I must have missed something previously, and wondering why not create a mount for the top of the car to increase stability? You have a large amount of torque on that long front mount, especially with all of the hardware far away from the mounting point on the car. Then adding even more as the blades start grabbing and doing work.

    I have actually been wondering on this. When having it on a ev with like a rounded inverse turbine on top with with air ducting would effect the power on the ev battery. As another way of doing kind of regen braking but using the movement forward to recharge the battery to. Or kind of like the vertical wind turbines and using the spur like on the fins on the humpback whale has on its fins. It was actually tested and it helps with the efficiency on the blades.

    Strengthen the mounts, you'll get movement and vibration from the single mounting posts, then you'll have the inertia of the propeller causing other forces, everything I'd say is just twisting as everything is shaking, maybe like an A frame and a bar going across between each propeller.

    This is a great set of experimentation. Thank you. Super-interesting. My thought here, especially after the ground strike with the magnet, is the mounting boom to the unit is too long, and thus, flexes too much. Can you bring it in about six inches?

  • @_Frosteez_
    @_Frosteez_ 6 днів тому

    You should try changing up the turbine to the column style blade setup that looks like an old school push mower, run it horizontal across the bumper with a generator on each end. Should be more stable than prop style blades and get rid of a few failure points in the current mounting setup. Although you might find new failures too 😂.
